Change Presho
The idea behind the “Change Presho” campaign is to ask folks to donate to a community project the change they receive from local businesses . For example, your bill at Husman’s could be $23.12. If you wrote your check for $24, it would be easier to balance your account and you could donate 88 cents to a community project. I think we would all be surprised how much money we could raise this way for really very little effort or expense on any one person. What could a community project be - maybe some possibilities would be trees in the boulevards, community signs, the community resource booklet, there are many ideas that could be pursued. What do others think of this idea? Cast your votes in the poll currently being conducted!

What a simple, yet brilliant idea! I love the play on words too–very clever! It’s amazing how small change can lead to big change in community! Super!

So when did you officially start the Change Presho project? How much has been raised so far? Are most of your local businesses participating?

Sorry I haven’t responded sooner to your comments - been out of town. Go ahead, share the idea, share the link, share, share, share (it is the season after all)!
We haven’t “officially” started the project. One of our church’s confirmation classes is going to help us make special containers to put out (again, involve the youth). All of the businesses we’ve talked to so far like the idea and plan to participate. We’d like to have an idea of what our first project is going to be when we inaugurate the program. Hopefully, the comments we receive on Sunday at our community celebration will give us that direction.
Thanks for your comments. We, too, think this is going to be a great opportunity!

I think the change presho is a BRILLINAT idea. I think you could make alot of money for the community. I think that we should start a group called cahnge presho. In the group we should decide what all the money raised we should do with it. If anyone would agree you could post a comment!!!!

Has the confirmation class started to make the containers yet? What project was most popular at the celebration?
